WARNING: There are different qualities of thermal paper available. Be careful with low priced thermal paper. We highly discourage using bad quality thermal paper. A cheaper quality thermal paper produces much lighter prints, and the print fades from the paper much quicker. Some people increase the print density on their printers to compensate for the lack of darkness, however, this is bad advice and will severely shorten the life span of your thermal printer by burning out the thermal head. Fixing or replacing your printer is not worth it just to save a couple bucks on paper.
Our premium quality thermal paper is triple coated and produces a nice dark black color. The first coating is a base coat which make the base paper more flat and easier for the next layer of coating. The second coating is the active coating which is the most import coating for thermal paper. The active coat is where the image printing occurs. The last coating layer is a protective layer on the top of the paper. It protects the print image, but some buyers only care about the price and recently facilities began applying only the second layer on to base paper, which makes the printed image appear light and shortens the life span. This is where customers complain that the image fades very soon. Please keep in mind our warning when shopping for thermal paper.
3 1/8" x 230' is a common size for Point of Sale Thermal Printers. The 3 1/8" (3.125") width and roll length of 230 ft will fit in almost any thermal printer that utilizes 3 1/8 inch wide thermal paper and is suitable for use in Point of Sale, Restaurant, Banking, etc.
This Thermal Paper is compatible with all types of Thermal Printers that use paper rolls with a width size of 3 1/8". The
below list of printers is not exhaustive. If your printer uses a 3 1/8"
wide thermal paper, then this paper will work. If you are unsure or
